Trauma Therapy
One of my core beliefs is that trauma-related symptoms are treatable.
No matter how overwhelmed you may feel today, healing is possible. With the right support and evidence-based treatment, many people experience meaningful relief and regain a sense of safety, confidence, and connection.
Post-trauma symptoms are our bodies’ natural and helpful reactions run amok. They make sense when we view that from a historical and evolutionary perspective. But without treatment they can linger and, possibly, worsen with time.
For more than 20 years, I have helped survivors of trauma recover from the lasting effects of these difficult experiences. I’ve worked with people following physical assault, sexual assault and abuse, childhood trauma, accidents, disasters, and other traumatic events. Every person's experience is different, and therapy is always tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Specialized Training
I have training in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Trauma Art Narrative Therapy, two effective approaches for treating trauma and PTSD. These therapies help people process traumatic experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and move forward without trauma continuing to shape their daily lives.
My Approach
Beginning trauma therapy can feel daunting, but you won't be asked to face it alone. I provide a compassionate, respectful environment where we work together at a pace that feels manageable. My goal is to help you understand your symptoms, build effective coping skills, and process traumatic experiences so they no longer have the same hold on your life.
Recovery doesn't mean forgetting what happened. It means that your past no longer controls your present. I have seen this transformation happen for many clients over the past two decades, and I believe it is possible for you, too.
